Overview
QuerySurge now includes built-in capabilities for tracking AI usage and metrics, giving teams clear visibility into how AI-powered features are being used across the platform. These metrics capture key data such as the number and type of AI requests made, the number of tokens being used per request, and the frequency with which requests are being made. By monitoring this information, administrators can better understand adoption trends, measure the effectiveness of AI-driven workflows, and identify opportunities for optimization. This visibility also supports governance and cost-management initiatives, ensuring that AI capabilities deliver maximum value while remaining aligned with organizational goals.
Global Metrics
In the Global Administrator portal, navigate to Artificial Intelligence → Usage and Metrics. There are a number of aggregation options — All, Project, and User — that allow you to view summary- and detail-level usage for different slices of your organization.
In addition to aggregation, you can also filter these results across certain timeframes. By default, we show metrics for the current month.
Aggregate by All
When aggregating by all, you're going to see a summary of all AI requests that have been made by every user in your organization. The number of projects a user is assigned to or how many requests have been made in those projects doesn't matter. You get to see everything.
Summary
At the summary-level, you can see the number of requests, the average number of tokens per request, and the average number of requests per day.
Click the icon to expand the summary record and view the drilldown.
Drilldown
The drilldown shows a user-by-user breakdown without regard for project affiliation.
You get all of the same metrics available at the summary-level — the number of requests, the average number of tokens per request, and the average number of requests per day — as well as the user responsible for those requests and the last time a request was made.
Aggregate by Project
When aggregating by project, you're going to see a summary of all AI requests that have been made per project. This helps you to see usage trends for each of your active projects, and allocate resources accordingly.
Summary
At the summary-level, you can see the project, the number of users assigned to that project, the number of requests, the average number of tokens per request, and the average number of requests per day.
Click the icon to expand the summary record and view the drilldown.
Drilldown
The drilldown shows a user-by-user breakdown for each available project.
You get all of the same metrics available at the summary-level — the number of requests, the average number of tokens per request, and the average number of requests per day — as well as the user responsible for those requests and the last time a request was made.
Aggregate by User
When aggregating by user, you're going to see a summary of all AI requests that have been made per project. This helps you to see usage trends for each of your managed users.
Summary
At the summary-level, you can see the user, the number of projects to which the user is assigned, the number of requests, the average number of tokens per request, the average number of requests per day, and when the last request was made.

Project Metrics
In the Project portal, navigate to the Administration section and click Artificial Intelligence → Usage and Metrics. There is no aggregation here since all metrics are specific to the current project. However, the same timeframe filtering is available.
There's no summary-level data in this view. We get right to the point, displaying a drilldown view of the AI usage data for each of the users assigned to the current project.
Hidden Columns
For each of the available summary- and detail-level views, we have a number of hidden columns that further further insight into the data. By default, we show Requests — this represents the total number of requests regardless of platform.
It may be helpful to break this out across requests against QuerySurge AI Core and QuerySurge AI Cloud (with or without QuerySurge-bundled credentials). To see these more granular metrics, right-click and of the column headers in the table.
There are a number of options here.
- Show All Columns — shows all available columns
- Hide Current Column — hide the column on whose header you right-clicked
- Hide Other Columns — hide all columns except the one on whose header you right-clicked
- Toggle Columns — toggle the visibility of individual columns
